The following information about Tee Ball at BNBSL is provided to help parents understand this level of play. Please note that no player evaluations are required at this level.
Description:
TEE BALL (Pre-k age 4+ to Kindergarten) – Tee Ball is the introductory level of play in BNBSL. Coaches work with players to develop basic throwing, catching, and hitting skills. The goal is to have fun, so the children enjoy the introduction to baseball with their family and friends. Tee Ball meets once or twice per week (on weeknights or Saturday mornings) at the Upper Green baseball diamond in Newbury for a combined 1/2 hour practice and 1/2 hour game with another Tee Ball team in our league. Schedules vary to accommodate multiple teams sharing the field.
Players only need basic equipment to play and come prepared with an appropriate glove. BNBSL provides appropriate bats, helmets, and balls for each team. Players will receive a team shirt and hat to wear to each practice/game.
